Compensation:

$16.10/hour


Duties:

“Developing and enhancing the social media efforts of Dublin Street United Church (DSUC) (Guelph). This task would involve analyzing the present social media usage of the congregation, exploring additional forms of social media, examining the church’s social media metrics, and creating a “blueprint” for a continued more effective social media strategy.” “Training volunteers on the Communication Committee with using and understanding the types of social media available and how to interpret the metrics generated from Google, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.” “To build a content library for social media and the website. This may include: writing, editing, photography and/or video.” “To work with the communications committee in developing a new church publication, “Come and See”. This effort would include collection, editing, writing and assist in with its redesign and publication.” “To work with the Communications Committee and other partners in the creation of a fall marketing initiative in the community to build awareness of Dublin Street United Church.” “To work with the Guelph United Ministries (GUM) group on joint advertising, promoting and social media efforts as required or deemed related to their efforts at Dublin.”

Skills:

Skills sought: Excellent communication skills with a Marketing background preferred and familiarity with social media tools -- Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube. Experience with Microsoft office programs is a necessity and publication skills and photography skills are assets.
