We just completed our Remembrance Day observance, and I was reminded of a song I heard earlier today on Q107. I believe it is called a “Pittance of Time”. The author reminds us all, that we are only asked to give 2 minutes of silence to remember all those that have fought, are fighting, for freedom, for democracy, for a way of life that we enjoy here in Canada, but often (and I am very guilty of this myself) take for granted. Truly 2 minutes in a day, in a year, is pittance. Perhaps this Remembrance Day I will take more than just 2 minutes to learn more about the sacrifices that many gave so that I could enjoy a blessed life.
